The flower casting workshop is such a unique and memorable experience. I was lucky to be the only participant today, and despite that, Tansy never rushed the process. She took her time to explain each step clearly and was incredibly patient as I slowly brought my vision to life. While waiting for the clay to dry, we had lovely conversations about her other art sculptures, and it was inspiring to hear about her creative journey. Tansy is an exceptionally talented artist, and it was a real privilege to learn from her. I’d 1000% recommend this workshop to anyone — it’s truly one of a kind and perfect for both individuals and groups.

Hi, I’m Tansy, an artist and sculptor based in Bristol. I specialise in casting, transforming raw materials into life-like sculptures, from delicate, detailed pieces to large-scale works. I’m passionate about exploring the different possibilities that can be achieved of texture, form, and scale through casting.
Teaching is also a key part of my practice. I love sharing my passion for sculpture with students of all ages, fostering a hands-on, fun, and creative environment. Watching students gain confidence and develop new skills is incredibly rewarding.
I’ve worked with a variety of casting materials, including lost wax, silicone, fibreglass, concrete, plaster, wax, and Jesmonite, each offering unique textures and finishes.
