  • 5/5 from Mariah Hilton-May, attended Oct 2026: Margo is a great teacher, she is very kind and attentive, made me feel comfortable and at ease, she also describes the process well. I was introduced to chainmail jewellery techniques/patterns, sizes, different materials etc and instructions were straight forward to follow. I really enjoyed my session! I got to take home my own handmade earrings and will continue this interesting craft at home :)

After doing an art degree, I studied Clothing at London College of Fashion and then trained as a milliner in London and worked for traditional hat companies and designers like Lock and Co and Frederick Fox in the 1990s.
I am passionate about fashion and especially love gothic and historical costume inspired designs. I now create my own occasion headpieces and chainmail jewellery from my workshop in Winchester. I love the tactile feel of jewellery created from metal which is made into textile and all the possibilities this creates as accessories. I love teaching and have also taught English as a Foreign Language as well as craft workshops.
