I’m a ceramic artist based in the picturesque market town of Frome, Somerset, and I love creating pieces that feel full of character and individuality. Everything is made by hand in my home studio using slab-building, coiling and sculpting techniques rather than a potter’s wheel. I believe that objects should carry a sense of time, place, and touch. Working with a variety of different clays, I create ceramic pieces where no two are ever quite the same - each one carries the marks of the making process and has its own story.
My love of pottery began at school and was rekindled just over seven years ago when I joined a local class. I was quickly reminded how fulfilling and calming it is to work with clay. With encouragement from my tutor and family, I developed my skills, bought my own kiln and opened an online shop. I’m inspired by the making process itself: slowing down, exploring ideas and allowing each piece to develop naturally.
Alongside my online shop, I love meeting people at craft fairs and makers’ markets across Somerset and the surrounding area. Those conversations are a wonderful reminder that handmade objects can create real connections. That is also why I enjoy teaching. In my friendly introductory ceramics workshops, I guide you through the techniques step by step and encourage you to experiment, trust your ideas and make something that feels personal to you. You don’t need any previous experience — just curiosity and a willingness to have a go. My aim is for you to leave feeling relaxed, proud of what you have created and excited to work with clay again.
