During this fun and relaxed 2-day workshop, you can enjoy the opportunity to immerse yourself in the craft of silver jewellery making. Over the 2 days, you will learn the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo by fusing 24ct gold leaf onto the surface of silver. This technique can be used to create a pair of earrings and/or a pendant. You will also learn how to make a silver spinner ring and a chain bracelet, with the option of setting a piece of sea glass in a charm.
Should you wish to make anything more elaborate, silver will be available to purchase on the day.
At the end of this workshop, you will have learnt more advanced jewellery-making skills and created a small collection of beautiful silver jewellery, some with 24ct gold leaf, to enjoy wearing for years to come.
What you'll get
All tools are provided.
The cost of the silver is not included in the workshop fees. The approximate cost of these materials is between £80-£120 and payable to the tutor on the day.
You are welcome to bring your own sea glass, but please be aware not all pieces will be suitable to set.

New Brewery Arts is Cirencester’s creative heart — a vibrant cultural charity housed in the historic buildings of the former Cirencester Brewery.
After the brewery’s closure in 1937, the site fell into disuse and was nearly lost to demolition. Thanks to a visionary local group, two of the remaining buildings were restored and transformed into craft workshops, opening as Cirencester Workshops in 1978.
Its mission is to champion craft — making it, learning it, and supporting the people who do it. Its courses, workshops, makers’ studios, 100% UK-made craft shop, and café all contribute to a vibrant creative hub at the heart of Cirencester.
