What you'll get in your craft kit
Materials and tools required to make more complex pieces. As this is an Intermediate course it is assumed you have the basic tools for silver clay.
Knowledge required
Experience with silver clay.
What you'll need
- Access to WiFi, screen and sound.
- Blow torch.
- Heat mat.
- Goggles.
- Silicon moulding compound.
- Rolling pin.
- Cards or thicknessers.
- Wet and dry papers.
- Polishing papers.
- Textures.
- Cutters.
- Findings.
- Pliers.
- Brush.
- Drill bits/hole cutters.
- Olive oil/non stick medium.
- Method for drying clay.
- Brass/stainless steel brush.
- Kiln (only required if you wish to do filigree work).
- Cling film, wet wipes, timer.
Your teacher
I first learnt to crochet as a child and spent hours and hours making, sewing, knitting and learning every new technique possible in art, craft and design. After a degree in graphics and 16 years of experience teaching Textiles, Graphics, Art & Design and Design & Technology, I strongly believe in developing my own practice to be the best tutor I can be. I am continually inspired by my students of all ages, so it's definitely a two-way street!
