Hello I'm Jonathan, the founder of Hyde Wares. After a decade as a leathercraftsman designing and making goods that have shipped worldwide I am proud to pass on those same skills.

I began as a hobbyist whilst living in Portugal and look back on those early days very fondly. It's a real pleasure to introduce others to the traditional crafts of leatherwork and see the same joy that can only be gained from making your own piece.

From my Sheffield studio I offer 3 different classes for up to 4 guests. I exclusively use vegetable-tanned leather from the UK and am very passionate about this wonderful material.
