Create your own adorable amigurumi character in this fun, friendly crochet workshop with Joy – perfect for crocheters already comfortable with basic stitches and ready to take the next step into amigurumi.Before the workshop, you'll choose your favourite Pocket Pals crochet kit (or a fruit or veg design from the photos), and on the day, all tools and materials are provided – just arrive ready to crochet. Joy will guide you step by step through your chosen project, sharing tips and techniques for shaping, stuffing and sewing your pieces together, right through to those all-important finishing touches.By the end, you'll leave with new skills, greater confidence and a charming handmade Pocket Pal of your very own.What's included:

Suitable for: crocheters confident with basic stitches such as chain, double crochet, and increasing/decreasing.Meet your tutor – Joy: crafting since childhood, Joy has tried her hand at everything from sewing and jewellery-making to silk painting, though crochet has always been closest to her heart. She now runs several crochet groups a month at Tudor Rose Patchwork, with a particular love of helping beginners build their skills, all with a patient, encouraging teaching style.Good to know:

• The venue has parking. Upon arrival, park in the car park at the front of the shop. Unload your vehicle into your classroom. Staff will then advise you where to park your car for the day at the rear of the complex. There is disabled parking and ramps allowing access to all areas. There is a disabled toilet. Staff will help anyone in need of assistance. Shop on site selling an enormous range of goods relating to crafting: dressmaking, patchwork & quilting, knitting & crochet, sewing machines, and furniture.
• There is a coffee shop on site called O for Coffee. Attendees at our classes are visited by coffee shop staff regularly throughout the day to take any orders. Anything consumed during your day is sold at a 10% discount. As well as a large choice of hot and cold drinks, the menu comprises savoury choices including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, and soups. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a selection of cakes and scones made in-house with gluten-free and vegan options.
