No. Full guidance is provided throughout, and the workshop is suitable for beginners.
Q: How long is the workshop?
The workshop is 2.5 hours as I like to allow enough time for people not to feel rushed, however you may finish earlier if you're happy with your piece.
Q: Will I take my Highland cow home?
Yes. You’ll leave with your finished Highland cow mounted in a box frame, ready to display.
Q: Can I make my Highland cow look different?
Yes. You’ll have a choice of wool colours and textures, allowing you to give your creation its own personality. I'll have a template of a highland cow you can follow but equally if you prefer to create your own design, that's totally fine.
Q: Is needle felting suitable for everyone?
The workshop is suitable for adults and older children who can work carefully with a sharp felting needle. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Q: What ages is this class suitable for?
A: Adults & 14+ years. An adult must accompany any attending kids (the adult may observe for free).
Q: What's the cancellation policy?
A: Free to cancel or reschedule up until 3 days before the class

What you'll do
Led by Stephettie Creates founder, Steph, this beginner-friendly experience will introduce you to the wonderfully tactile world of needle felting. Using soft wool fibres, curly locks, and a little creativity, you’ll build up your own characterful Highland cow, adding texture, shape, and personality as you go.You’ll be guided through the process step by step, from creating the basic shape and adding colour to building up the distinctive shaggy coat and finishing your design with its own individual character. No two Highland cows will be exactly alike - and that’s part of the charm.Needle felting is a wonderfully mindful craft. There’s something very satisfying about repeatedly shaping and sculpting the wool, watching a recognisable character emerge from loose fibres. It’s a chance to slow down, get creative, and enjoy making something by hand.Once complete, your Highland cow will be mounted in a box frame, ready to take home and display as a unique piece of handmade artwork.Whether you’re looking for a creative catch-up with friends, a relaxing activity to try on your own, or a thoughtful experience to share with someone special, this workshop offers a lovely opportunity to make, chat, and enjoy the creative process.

Stephettie was born from a lifelong love of creativity and connection. I’m Steph - founder, mosaic maker, and your friendly creative guide.I’ve always believed in the magic of making things with your hands. Like many, I grew up watching Art Attack and covering every surface in glue and glitter. Years later, after more than a decade working in corporate team building, I realised how powerful creativity could be in helping people reconnect, slow down, and rediscover joy, and so Stephettie came to life.Today, I run hands-on mosaic workshops that are mindful, meaningful, and sustainable. We use salvaged ceramics - old, broken crockery that might otherwise end up in landfill - to create something beautiful and new. Every piece is completely unique, and sometimes even includes a sentimental fragment of someone’s own story.I love seeing how each person’s creativity unfolds - the “happy accidents, ” the perfect fits, and the proud smiles at the end when everything comes together.
