Hi, I'm Hazel, the jewellery artist and tutor behind Hazel's Jewellery Shop.
I've been making jewellery for over 12 years, and for the last 6 years I've specialised in working with silver clay, a fascinating material that starts life as clay and transforms into solid silver. The first time I saw that transformation happen, I was completely hooked, and I've been exploring the possibilities of silver clay ever since.
Today, I create sustainable, one-of-a-kind jewellery using silver clay and reclaimed gemstones. My work is inspired by vintage details, and the belief that beautiful jewellery doesn't have to come at the expense of the planet.
One of the things I love most about my craft is sharing it with others. There's nothing quite like seeing someone arrive convinced they're "not creative" and leave proudly wearing a piece of jewellery they've made themselves!
My workshops are designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and completely beginner-friendly. You don't need any previous jewellery-making experience, just a willingness to try something new and enjoy a creative day out.
Alongside running workshops, I've been featured in jewellery-making magazines and have written tutorials to help others learn new silver clay techniques. I'm also continuing to develop my jewellery making skills through advanced training and will be undertaking a year-long Silver Clay Diploma from this September.
Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, enjoy a mindful creative experience, or simply spend a day doing something for yourself, I'd love to welcome you to one of my workshops.
