Hand Building Pottery Class: Oven Dish

Join us in Bristol to coil, shape and sculpt your way to success with this hand building pottery class.

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests       £38

If you're looking to create a stunning oven dish, this pottery class in Bristol is perfect for you! In this fun and hands-on session, you’ll be guided through the basics of pottery and coiling, learning how to craft a beautiful, personalised dish – whether it’s for your own kitchen or as a thoughtful gift for someone special.
You’ll begin by sketching out your design ideas, imagining the shape and style of your dish. Once you're happy with your concept, you’ll move on to coiling and assembling your clay, bringing your creation to life. As you go, you can add personal touches, such as detailed stamps, sculpted elements, or even a splash of paint to make your dish truly unique.
This Bristol pottery class is designed for anyone who wants to try something new in a calm and creative environment. Whether you're flying solo or celebrating with friends for a birthday, work event, or hen do, it’s a perfect way to unwind and get creative.
Your ceramic dish will need time to dry and go through the firing process, so you won’t be able to take it home right away, but don’t worry – your host will let you know when it’s ready for collection, usually within four to six weeks. If you can't pop in straight away, don't worry – we'll keep your creations safe at the studio for up to three months after the collection email is sent.

Hello! I'm Jess from Jess Made This Mess and I offer a wide variety of ceramic workshops at Wild Clay Studios! My workshops are intended to be a safe and creative space that encourage people to try something new using hand building techniques such as slab building, coiling and pinching. I aim to make pottery accessible to everyone and anyone that wants to give it a go! You don't need all the bells and whistles to make a gorgeous pot, and thats the brilliant thing about pottery.
