What you'll do
Come and discover the therapeutic benefits of playing with clay while making your very own trending 'Boob Pot'!
This 2.5 hour beginner-friendly workshop is perfect for a group of friends or as a hen do activity or even to come on your own! You'll be sure to have a giggle, especially with the molding of the breasts! Don't worry if they end up a bit wonky; it will make them look even more natural. You can also have a play around and make this pot as fun and creative as you like.
During the instructor led class you will will learn several pottery techniques such as wedging, the coil method and slip and scoring. Full instruction and a demonstration will be given with each stage and you will also be informed of what could go wrong and how to avoid or fix it.
At the end of the session there will be an explanation of what happens in the kiln.
This workshop runs over one session with an optional second if you would like to add colour to your pot (there will be an extra fee of £4.50).
The pieces will then need to dry and if you just want it plain we will fire it with clear glaze and it will be ready 3-5 weeks after making. If you wanted to add colour you have the option to come back after a week to paint it (extra fee of £4.50 will apply) and it will be ready 2-3 weeks after it's been painted
Advisories:
Because this is a hand building class there are some problems that could arise during the firing process of the piece, the instructor will make you aware of these issues and will show you how to prevent these happening, but we can’t always guarantee that these issues won’t affect your piece. If there are problems with your piece, we will do our best to rectify the issue.

What you'll get
Your very own boob pot made from clay! You will need to leave your piece with us to dry out fully before we can put it in the kiln. This process can take 4-5 weeks depending on the size of the piece. We will email you once it is ready to collect!
What to bring
Advisories:Please wear old clothing because clay can be very messy. It does wash out of clothing, and you can also bring your own apron if you would like.

Crafty Monkey, based in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, was founded in 2010 after Chrissy Bennett, the owner, attended a pottery painting workshop for her friend's hen party. From a one man band, it has grown to employing 6 members of staff and is now open 7 days a week with monthly adults evenings some of which are themed. The studio seats up to 40 people at a push but you can book in anytime to come in and paint pottery from our extensive range. We have a party area that can comfortably seat 10 (12 people at a push).
We offer a range of things from pottery painting and build a bear to baby prints and 3d baby casts. We are able to tailor workshops to specific requests. You can book individual or group bookings with us - anything to suit your crafting needs! Depending on the group size and where it is we may also be able to come out to you!
