arrow_right_alt arrow_downwardJoin Hobbycraft Artisan Chrissie Ellson as she spins a wheel to decide on which granny square you’ll create together! This is the perfect session for crocheters looking for inspiration or anyone looking to rediscover this classic craft.
Designed for crafters with experience of basic stitches like double and treble crochet, each session will feature a different granny square design. Chrissie will teach that granny square to you, sharing the tips and tricks you’ll need to create the pattern.
The craft kit is an optional extra, with all the yarn you’ll need plus a crochet hook. If you’ve already stocked up on yarn, you can simply crochet along without purchasing the craft kit.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a completed granny square – as well as all the skills to continue making more! You can then transform the square into a scarf, blanket and more.
For crafters looking to join Granny Square Club regularly, Chrissie will share a free class code to any customer who attends three workshops. Join three, get one free!

Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

Hi, I’m Chrissie. I’ve worked for Hobbycraft for over 18 years but have been crafting from a very young age. It was my love of Card Making that originally drew me towards Hobbycraft and since working there my love of all things craft has only increased. My current favourite area of crafting is crochet and I enjoy sharing my passion with others.
