Whether you're looking for a unique gift for someone special or you're keen to learn to make your own jewellery, this ring making workshop will see you making two slim stacking rings in 14ct yellow gold, set with the highest quality rose-cut stones, using traditional techniques.
You'll start things off by sizing the ring and measuring the gold needed, before filing and shaping the gold. Then you’ll use a blowtorch to solder it, adding unique textures with our collection of hammers, before polishing the ring to your desired shine and finally setting the stone (the traditional way - without glue!).
Members of the Noctua team will be on hand throughout this process to support, advise and teach you the skills needed while allowing you to make the ring independently.
This is a very interactive workshop which is suitable for complete beginners and people with prior experience of jewellery making. Everyone is welcome!
What you'll get
All materials and tools to make a set of two 14ct gold stacking rings to take home with you.
What to bring
If you need glasses for reading then we recommend you bring them on the day, and we also recommend wearing old clothes. You will need to wear closed-toe shoes and tie up long hair.

We are Britt and Andrew. Britt’s journey with jewellery making started in 2012 as a hobby that has slowly blossomed into what it is today - Noctua Jewellery & Workshops. Andrew joined Britt in September 2017 helping out with workshops and learning about the business.
Britt's love for jewellery started when she was a child and a relative bought her a beading kit. She delved in and out of jewellery making until she was 15 and finally discovered the holy grail of jewellery making: silversmithing. Much to her father’s delight, she purchased a blowtorch online and then began practising at home, continuously saving up for new tools and books. After many attempts, both failed and successful, she decided to find an apprenticeship to develop her skills, eventually finding one, 358 miles from home in beautiful Cornwall. Britt returned to Liverpool in February 2017 with a drive to give other people the joy of making their own silver jewellery.
