General Jewellery Making Workshop

An open jewellery-making workshop is designed to give you the space to develop your own ideas.

6 hours

Class size 1 to 4 (public classes), 1 to 10
£120 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

In this full-day workshop, you will work on a jewellery project of your choice, with guidance and support throughout the day. This is an open workshop designed to give you the space to develop your own ideas or to build confidence in specific techniques.
The workshop is limited to a small group of four, allowing for plenty of one-to-one guidance. It is also a good opportunity to pick up ideas from others in the group, share approaches, and build confidence in your work.
Before the session, we will discuss your plans so I can advise on what is achievable and what materials you will need to bring. If you are unsure what to make, I can suggest suitable projects based on your level and the skills you would like to develop.
During the workshop, you will have access to a well-equipped studio and will be guided through a range of jewellery-making techniques as needed for your project. This may include sawing, filing, soldering, forming, and finishing.
You can book a single session and aim to complete a finished piece on the day or attend multiple workshops to gradually build your skills and work on more involved projects.
This workshop is suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to those with some experience. Materials are not included and should be purchased in advance or on the day, following guidance provided beforehand.

Welcome to my jewellery workshops, held in my seaside studio in the historic and inspiring Old Portsmouth. These sessions are an opportunity to slow down, tap into your creativity, and experience the satisfaction of making something truly your own.
You’ll learn traditional jewellery-making techniques such as soldering, sawing, filing, and polishing. More importantly, you’ll gain confidence, patience, and a sense of achievement that comes with creating by hand.
Each workshop is limited to just 4 people, creating a calm and friendly environment with plenty of personalised, one-to-one guidance in a relaxed social setting.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, you’ll find the workshops welcoming and supportive. You’ll be able to work at your own pace, with as much help as you need—no question is too small. My aim is to offer you an inspiring and rewarding experience.
If you’ve ever doubted your creativity, these sessions will help you rediscover it. Come and enjoy the joy of making, and leave with a beautiful piece of jewellery that’s all your own.
