What you'll do
If you're looking for a fun hands-on activity to try, why not come and give glass fusing a go with this beginner-friendly workshop from Compton's Glass Workshop?
In this fused glass class, you'll learn to create a stunning folded bowl using a variety of techniques such as bending fine glass rods over a t-light flame, cutting glass to shape as well as adding glass sprinkles (frit) to create texture.
Your glass will be fired flat then heated a second time in the kiln to create the beautiful fluid shape of the folded bowl, which is perfect for an LED tealight to create beautiful shadows on dark evenings.
Don't worry if it's your first attempt at fused glass art, as this workshop is suitable for all skill levels and would be perfect as part of a creative birthday party, family activity or tactile team building event!
Please note: Your creations will be fired in the kiln and ready for collection one week later. Postage may also be arranged for an extra fee after the class.
