- 5/5 from Susie Phillips, attended Aug 2026: Another fabulous bubble glass hanger class with Angelina. The location is gorgeous & it’s very well organised with great tuition. The design suggestions are varied and there’s always something new or you can choose your own. Once the basic instruction has been taught templates are provided or you can give your creativity free rein. No two designs are ever the same and the finished results are always beautiful. It’s such an intimate and friendly space with expert tuition - we thoroughly enjoy a relaxing few hours being creative - this was our 5th visit. Angelina is fantastic - if you haven’t been I definitely recommend you book one of the courses. Photo of today’s creation before firing.

Your teacher
Angelina and Cathy met by chance whilst selling their work in Penarth, Christmas 2013. Their shared love of all things glass saw them develop a friendship and continue to work together.Their first idea was to develop an Open Studio trail for any local artist/crafter during the annual Penarth festival that following summer. It has fast become an established part of the festival and is developing year on year. They then joined a designer-maker section in a local Penarth shop where their customer base was steadily growing. Customers embraced the idea of bespoke, locally made pieces, rather than mass-produced imported ones that have saturated the marketplace.Their next logical step was to be able to work on-site and pass their love of the process of hand-making in glass to others. Hence, Glass By Design was born.
