Come and connect with nature, and learn a new skill. At this full-day workshop, you will discover the alchemy of silver clay to create beautiful 3D replicas of seeds such as acorns, sycamore, daisies, leaves, and other foraged items. £110 per person including all materials, chain, lunch, and cake.
At this beginners' workshop, you will learn the creative art of fine silver jewellery making, using the alchemy of silver clay, an eco-friendly and fun way to make silver jewellery. The workshop will take place in The Sanctuary Cornwall, an award-winning off-grid eco lodge, set high up in 12 acres of beautiful woodland and with breathtaking views over the Fowey Estuary.
This one-day creative workshop includes a 10-minute mindful woodland walk in the grounds where you forage for flowers, leaves, acorns, bark, and sycamore seeds to take back to make your beautiful, unique jewellery. You will learn to capture these precious items from nature by making moulds before casting them into solid fine silver. The day also includes a delicious seasonal vegetarian lunch. (For anyone who doesn’t wish to take part in this short nature walk, you are welcome to stay behind and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, take in the views and explore the nature items I have collected in advance that you can use to make your jewellery).
Silver clay is a relatively new product that can be worked like clay and yet is made of pure silver particles, with a binder and water. When it is fired, the result is a pure silver piece which is of fine silver hallmark quality.
You'll be guided by a qualified and experienced teacher with all 5-star reviews on Google, Facebook, Trip Advisor. She holds the Art Clay Diploma in Silver Clay. She is also an instructor member of AMCAW (Association of Metal Clay Artists Worldwide) and is a member of GOJD (Guild of Jewellery Designers) and ACJ (Association of Contemporary Jewellers).
