Welcome to my world, where the beauty of Yorkshire's landscapes meets the artistry of my brush. I'm Leia, also known as the Yorkshire Artist. My journey has taken me from the hills of Huddersfield to the bustling streets of York, and every stroke of my creations reflects these experiences. I graduated with first-class honours in Print Design from Manchester School of Art in 2019, a milestone that has shaped my artistic path. Since then, my work has reached brands like Marks & Spencer, and I’ve had the incredible opportunity to intern at Karolina York in Australia.
As a contemporary fine artist and print designer, I primarily work with paper-based paintings. I immerse myself in the stunning landscapes of Yorkshire and beyond, capturing breathtaking scenes through activities like wild swimming, kayaking, and hiking. These adventures fuel my creativity and inspire my work.
Back in my studio, I blend mixed media to mirror the serene beauty that surrounds me. With a deep affection for patterns, colours, and textures, I’m dedicated to sharing nature's magic through my art. Nature is my muse, guiding me through plein air painting and zine explorations, which infuse my work with vibrancy and offer a fresh outlook on the natural world.
