Join this upholstery class at Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden and discover how to build your very own small footstool from scratch.This one-day workshop is a low-pressure way to get to grips with a traditional craft while creating something beautiful for your home. You'll spend the day in a supportive environment, learning how to assemble and upholster a piece of furniture that's entirely yours.Throughout the session, you'll be guided through each step of the process:

• Assemble your frame – Put together the sturdy base of your footstool.
• Add comfort and shape – Learn the techniques of padding and layering for a professional finish.
• Personalise with fabric – Apply your chosen material to make a one-of-a-kind keepsake.

There’s no need to worry about technical jargon or complicated tools; everything is set up to ensure first-timers feel right at home. You'll leave the garden with a newfound set of skills and a custom footstool that serves as a wonderful reminder of your productive, joyful day.Please note: Parking is free of charge. The best place to park is in the car park off Stansfield Drive, beyond the Walled Garden School. From the car park, walk past the play area and across Witherwin Avenue. Alternatively, there is street parking on Witherwin Avenue next to the Walled Garden gate. For private bookings, the teacher will travel to your home.
