Hi everyone, I’m Phoebe, the founder of MeowCraft in York. I’ve always loved creative ideas and finding ways to turn something simple into something colourful, fun and completely individual.
MeowCraft started with our little shop on the historic Shambles in York, where we sell creative figures, DIY kits, handmade gifts and bubble tea. Over time, I wanted to create something more interactive, somewhere people could not only buy something creative, but actually enjoy the experience of making it themselves. That idea eventually grew into MeowCraft Studio at Kings Court and our Fluid Figure Art Experience.
What I love most about fluid art is that you don’t need to think of yourself as “artistic” to create something amazing. You choose your figure and colours, pour the paint and watch completely unexpected patterns appear. No two figures ever turn out exactly the same, and that's part of what makes it so much fun.
I especially enjoy seeing people arrive saying, “I’m not creative” and then becoming really proud of what they’ve made. We welcome children, families, couples, friends and groups, and seeing everyone interpret the same experience in their own way is one of my favourite parts of running the studio.
MeowCraft studio has allowed us to share our creativity in a completely new way. Our team guides guests through the whole process in a relaxed and friendly environment, so no previous art experience is needed.
For me, MeowCraft is about more than creating a figure, it’s about having fun, trying something different and leaving with something completely personal that reminds you of the experience.
