Mad Hatter Studio, a creative haven for adults to explore art in a relaxed, interesting and inspiring setting set within a medieval, historic location on the edge of Plympton. Alongside her teaching, Sheron develops her own design practice under Rosa King Designs. Her work spans mixed media, printmaking, and textile-based surface design, often inspired by her travels, colour, texture, and layered mark-making. She is currently building a portfolio of designs and prints that reflect her distinctive, expressive style — vibrant, textural, and full of life.
Sheron is an avid collector of many things including vintage fabrics, beads, buttons, lace, papers, ephemera etc. These collections create a fascinating and inspiring, studio working space
Through Mad Hatter Studio, Sheron runs a variety of one-day, evening and short courses, including collage, mixed media, expressive mark-making, workshops with reclaimed textiles, and surface design. Her passion and ethos is one of re use and up cycling and encouraging others of the potentiality of using found objects. Sheron’s sessions encourage experimentation and personal expression, focusing on building confidence and finding joy and individual voice in the creative process.
Sheron loves helping others rediscover their creativity while continuing to evolve her own artistic journey. Her courses invite people of all levels to experiment freely and leave inspired, with new ideas and techniques to explore.
