Founded by Bethany Malyan Fisher and Miranda Warmington in 2025, April 11 is a shop, studio and community space that champions the work of new and established makers from across the North of England and Scotland. After moving back to the North East from London, they connected over their shared background in Fashion and Design, and a mutual love for the rich heritage of arts and crafts in the North.
They host a broad range of workshops at the cottage in Fowlers Yard Durham that are either led by co-founder Bethany, or by one of the makers they stock in their shop. With a background in print and textile design, and 15 years designing prints for many well known fashion labels, Bethany is the creative force behind the in-house print and homeware label at April 11.
