I’m Emma — the founder of Dear Emily Designs.

My journey into candle making began as a personal creative outlet, on the same day my first granddaughter Emily was born. What started small quickly grew into a passion for creating calm, meaningful experiences through craft.

Alongside my business, I also run Bright Path CIC, supporting families through challenges in the education system. Through this work, I saw just how powerful creativity can be in helping people slow down, reset and reconnect — which is what inspired me to start teaching workshops.

I love teaching because it’s about so much more than making something. It’s about giving people space to switch off, try something new, and leave feeling lighter and more confident. Many of the people who come to my workshops don’t think they’re creative at all — and that’s my favourite part.

I’ve delivered workshops for individuals, groups, and community projects, supporting hundreds of people to rediscover creativity in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

My sessions are always calm, cosy and pressure-free — with high-quality materials, beautiful scents, with light refreshments included.
