Guided by Alice, founder of Casa De Folklore, this immersive workshop draws on traditions passed gently from one generation to the next.Working with humble onion skins, you’ll uncover a palette of warm, earthy hues using this beautifully simple, natural dye. Through time-honoured Eastern European techniques, you’ll learn how to wrap and bind eggs to create rich, organic patterns and tonal variations, revealing delicate markings formed purely through layering and resist methods.You’ll also be introduced to the art of pysanky, using hot beeswax and traditional handmade tools to build intricate, batik-style designs, layering colour and symbolism to create truly unique, heritage-inspired pieces.Both grounding and creative, this workshop welcomes makers of all abilities. You will leave with a small collection of beautifully decorated eggs and the knowledge to carry this meaningful tradition into your own home, a reminder that it is never too late to begin a new ritual.
