Drypoint Printmaking with TetraPaks Workshop

This workshop is an introduction to drypoint printmaking, which is an intaglio printmaking method that involves scratching an image into a plate with a pointed tool. These scratched lines create a burr that holds ink, meaning that what you draw is what will print.We will be repurposing an empty Tetra Pak carton (food or drink carton), which allows for easy drawing into the plate with a sharp tool. We will be printing up the plate using a Sizzix Big Shot machine, so if you have one of these machines at home and would like to learn a new technique to use it with, then this will be a great technique to try.This is a great workshop for playing and experimentation. The Tetra Pak surface creates interesting and characterful prints, with wonderful soft lines.Dress for mess and please remember your reading glasses if you need them!The workshop takes place at my home workshop just outside Stanley, County Durham. It is a small workshop, so workshop classes are also small, which means you will receive plenty of individual attention. This workshop runs with just two people.Please note:
