What you'll do

In this felting class in Sheffield, you will have the opportunity to learn the art of dry needle felting using barbed needles. Discover the calming technique of blending carded wool and adding a touch of sparkle to create your very own wool landscape scene. Don't worry if you're new to felting – this workshop is designed with beginners in mind. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the step-by-step process, ensuring you feel supported and confident throughout the class.

During the workshop, you will work with various materials, including wool fabric pieces and carded wool. You'll learn how to blend these materials and layer them to bring your landscape scene to life. You can even add a charming sheep or some beautiful flowers in the foreground if you wish!

By the end of the class, you'll have a stunning wool landscape scene that you can mount on a greeting card. This makes it perfect to give as a heartfelt gift or to frame and display in your own home. Helen Moyes Designs

Helen started creating at an early age and went on to study applied textiles and become a qualified trainer.
A visual artist, Helen specialises in Textile & Mixed Media Art.
Her practice has an emphasis on upcycling and the use of innovative textile art materials and techniques. She embraces a wide range of practices including both hand and free machine embroidery, wet and dry needle felting, surface fabric design, and embellishment.
She also runs regular Creative Textile Workshops both at her own studio and for groups and events.
Helen gives inspirational talks, produces on-demand digital guidance, and blogs and creates kits for us to get creative at home.

Helen aims to bring some peace and play to our every day and believes the creative process can be therapeutic and is far more important than the finished product. She has been told that her sessions are "better than therapy"
