My Journey with KeKo Club
I never set out to build a business; I set out to build a space where people could breathe, play, and create. Pottery was my lifeline—hands in clay gave me healing, focus, and joy. And one day, I thought: why not share that lifeline with others?
That’s how KeKo Club was born. I call it an “art gym” because it’s not about perfection, it’s about practice. Just like you’d go to the gym to stretch your muscles, here you come to stretch your imagination. Some people arrive nervous, convinced they’re “not creative.” But once they sit at the wheel or start hand‑building, something shifts. Clay has a way of reminding us we’re capable of more than we think.
I wanted KeKo to feel like a playground for grown‑ups and kids alike. Workshops aren’t just about technique—they’re about laughter, snacks, and the joy of making something with your own hands. I write clues in rhyme, I send playful invitations, and I keep the messaging light because art should never feel intimidating.
Behind the scenes, of course, there’s plenty of juggling—managing bookings, fixing backend glitches, collaborating with local businesses, and dreaming up new events. But every time I see someone proudly holding their first mug or sculpture, I’m reminded why I do this.
KeKo Club isn’t just a studio. It’s a community. It’s a place where clay connects us, where creativity becomes a shared adventure, and where people leave not only with something they’ve made, but with a smile that says, I belong here.
