Lee Spencer-Fleet

Lee is an established Folk House tutor, specialising in digital photography. Lee is qualified in further and adult education, with 20 years of experience in teaching. Back in 1987, Lee gained a BA (Hons) in Printed Textile Design, which led to work in print and DTP. She is a photoshop ace with expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom.

Lee enjoyed 10 years as a member of the North Bristol Arts Trail, organising exhibitions and producing prints and cards for commercial use. A love of colour and pattern is evident in her print designs, created from digital photographs and with mandalas (circle of life) as a recurring theme. Macro photography of flowers, butterflies and bees are now a special interest.
Lee is an active member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and the Bristol Photographic Society (BPS). In the past, she has been involved in courses and talks on the camera club circuit. Lee shoots with DSLR and mirrorless cameras and has a range of photographic equipment available for students to use. She works from her studio in Bristol and is also a mentor/manager of Focus Mentoring, a business specialising in education and mental health for vulnerable young people and adults.

The Bristol Folk House is an adult education centre providing a variety of part-time day and evening courses and workshops for over 18's. The Folk House provides a welcoming environment in which to explore your creativity and learn new skills.
We provide courses and workshops that engage the local community. The cafe provides fantastic organic food and a space to get together before and after classes. It is also open to the public and is the perfect place for those seeking a relaxed and friendly place in Bristol city centre. Live music and festivals happen throughout the year, as well as markets, events and exhibitions.
The Bristol Folk House is part of a charity and we receive no funding from the government, the city council or any other institution and our income is wholly derived from course fees, venue hire, members and fundraising events.
The centre began in the 1870's with the aim of supporting access to education in the community. The first programme of activities was produced for the academic year in 1920-1921.
