What you'll do

This class is designed to help you better understand your artistic instincts and demystify the language often used to discuss colour.This hands-on activity is guided by your teacher, Cläre, whose passion for colour is a key aspect of her own art practice. Using acrylic paints, you will learn the fundamentals of colour theory in a clear and accessible way, making the whole process feel more intuitive.In this workshop, you will:
- Learn the basics of colour theory and how to mix the exact shade or hue you want.
- Develop your own collection of personal swatches to use as a reference for future work.
- Consider ways of choosing a colour palette for a range of creative projects, from painting and illustration to textiles or interior design.
- Test out your new ideas with a range of mixed media materials, including fabric scraps.
