Hi, I'm Dave Collingwood - a leading independent cymbalsmith# and the only one in the world teaching the craft and running 'Make Your Own Cymbal' experiences.

Drawing from my 15 years of self-taught cymbal making techniques, join me for a one-to-one session learning hand-hammering and lathing, and leave with your very own handmade cymbal!

Starting with raw Turkish bronze cymbal blanks, the metal is hammered into shape and lathed to create the shiny, shimmery finished product. I tailor the experience to the participant and have welcomed people of all ages and abilities. No experience necessary and all tools & PPE (safety equipment) is provided.

I enjoy teaching everything I've learned and welcoming new students and participants to my comfortable workshop in Bristol. I also travel the world teaching and running events, so if you're interested to learn more - you're in the right place!
