What you'll do
Experiment with making ceramics in this two-hour class all about hand-building pottery. Dive hands-first into a refreshing new hobby and learn plenty of beginner tips and tricks for making your own clay creations. You will be taught hand-building basic like how to make a pinch pot, how to coil with clay, how to attach handles, legs etc. and how to make sure your pieces won’t blow up in the kiln! You’ll leave having created whatever your heart desires, anything from a mug to a vase, a bowl to a platter… We are here to help you so let your imagination take over.Your beautiful pieces will then be fired and glazed on your behalf for you to pick up around 6-8 weeks later from our Studio (MK43 8RU). The glaze types will be chosen at the workshop.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: Pottery takes approximately 6-8 weeks to fire - these are estimates only and may take longer. You'll be emailed when ready with self-collection details. Items must be collected within 30 days or will be disposed of. Due to the nature of high-temperature firing, perfect results cannot be guaranteed and we don't provide refunds for firing outcomes, though we always try to help resolve issues where possible.

Turn off the main West End Road into Rushey Ford Business Park. We are in the first part of the Business Park, so as soon as you enter there is an area for parking with low brick walls, you can park anywhere here. Please come on in and make yourself welcome!
Your teacher can also travel within 100 miles of Bedford, to a venue of your choice for a private class.
