Experiment with making ceramics in this two-hour class all about hand-building pottery. Dive hands-first into a refreshing new hobby and learn plenty of beginner tips and tricks for making your own clay creations.
You will be taught hand-building basic like how to make a pinch pot, how to coil with clay, how to attach handles, legs etc. and how to make sure your pieces won’t blow up in the kiln! You’ll leave having created whatever your heart desires, anything from a mug to a vase, a bowl to a platter… We are here to help you so let your imagination take over.
Hosted in the beautiful village of Stagsden with plenty of support. Plus, complimentary tea and cake are offered during the class.
Your beautiful pieces will then be fired and glazed on your behalf for you to pick up around three-four weeks later in Kempston (MK42). Posting is also an option if you can’t collect your pieces in person. The glaze types will be chosen at the workshop.
This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team building activity, Christmas party, birthday or hen do.
Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 5 years old).
An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.

Established in October 2019, Fire Nest is run by partners Will and Phoebe in the heart of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom. We host a variety of Creative Workshops including Candle Making, Pottery, Bath Bomb Making and more.
Alongside our Workshops, we also offer a range of Wellness Hand-Crafted Products including Candles, Ceramics, Bath Bombs and Perfumes.
Both Phoebe and Will started making candles as a hobby alongside their full time jobs, however the passion quickly turned into an ever-growing empire. In their first year of business, they both went full time with the business, reached over 10k followers on Instagram, featured in Vogue magazine, shipped over 5,000 orders, and hosted hundreds of workshops and rented their own shop unit.
