After graduating in 1998 with a BA(Hons) in fashion design from the prestigious fashion school at Northumbria University Leigh embarked in a career creating couture bridal wear and evening wear. In 2001 Leigh Hetherington Bridalwear was established in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne. All of her collections are designed, pattern cut and created at her studio above the boutique where all of the magic happens. Passionate about sewing and crafting from an early age, Leigh is doing her dream job. She not only designs and makes beautifully constructed garments she is also very skilled at wire work and produces fabulous headpieces. Leigh would like to pass on her knowledge and skills to people wanting to learn and create for themselves.
