'Chita' Designer Bag Macramé Workshop

Join us for this engaging ‘Chita’ designer bag macramé workshop. Here you'll learn how to create your own designer bag. In just one session, you'll master the basics of macramé while crafting a beautiful accessory that's both practical and stylish.Perfect for complete beginners and experienced macramérs alike, this hands-on activity is a wonderfully accessible way to discover a new craft technique. Your expert instructor, Paula, will guide you through each step, ensuring you feel confident and supported throughout the creative process.Our ‘Chita’ bag, named for an Art School friend, has been created by Cocoon&me’s Paula, drawing on her design skills from many years as a fashion designer.A unique design, handcrafted from sustainable materials, eco-friendly & super stylish. Macramé has seen a revival in recent years, being a relaxing & therapeutic craft. This eye-catching bag blends this ancient craft with a contemporary design.This is a long workshop, with a small number of attendees so that you can receive one-to-one tuition. To save time, we will pre-cut the yarn so that we can make a start creating the bag as soon as you arrive. From our experience, you may not complete your bag within this session. However, do not worry, Paula will show you how to finish your bag during the workshop, plus we will give you access to our step-by-step exclusive online video tutorial that shows you how to make & finish your ‘Chita’ Bag at home. If you feel that you would like more assistance from Paula to finish your bag, we will make arrangements on a one-to-one basis.Dimensions (approximately):The finished bag will be 45cm in length (including handles) & width 35cm. Inner width of handle is 20cm.New Size!We’re excited to introduce a brand-new option in our Chita Bag Workshop - a smaller crossbody version! This compact & stylish design is perfect for those who love a hands-free bag with all the charm of the original.
