In this relaxing and hands-on ceramic charms and jewellery workshop in Leeds, you’ll transform simple clay into your own collection of miniature ceramic creations. Whether you’d like to make earrings, pendants, brooches, bag charms, or small keepsakes, you’ll be guided through each step of the process.
Perfect for beginners, this workshop focuses on creativity, experimentation, and enjoying the making process. You’ll learn how to shape, decorate, and personalise your pieces using a range of cutters, textures, stamps, and simple ceramic techniques. Feel free to bring your own ideas or reference images, or choose from plenty of inspiration provided during the session.
Your workshop takes place at ChillChillCats Goodies & Craftroom, a cosy cat-themed independent shop on the first floor of Leeds Corn Exchange. Filled with natural light and surrounded by handmade creations from local artists and makers, it’s a welcoming space to slow down and get creative.
Please note: Leeds Corn Exchange is generally accessible, with step-free access to the building and lifts available to the upper floors. As the workshop takes place within the shop itself, access may be slightly limited. Please get in touch if you have any specific accessibility requirements.
What you'll get

  • 3–5 personalised ceramic pieces (depending on size and design), which can be made into earrings, pendants, brooches, bag charms, or small keepsakes

After the workshop, your pieces will be professionally kiln-fired and finished. They will be ready for collection from the shop in approximately 2–3 weeks, or UK postage can be arranged for £5.

Hi, I’m Kiu — the artist behind artLaiga Studio.
I run relaxed, beginner-friendly creative workshops across Leeds and West Yorkshire, where enjoying the process is just as important as what you make.
Before founding artLaiga Studio, I worked in art education for over 10 years. During that time, I developed a passion for helping people translate ideas into finished pieces through clear, step-by-step guidance. Whether participants are complete beginners or experienced makers, my aim is to make the creative process approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding.
I love teaching because making allows us to transform ideas and feelings into something you can see, touch, use, or even wear. Every piece is uniquely yours, and seeing people feel proud and happy when their ideas come to life is what keeps me inspired to teach.
Alongside workshops, I create handmade ceramic accessories and homeware, with selected pieces stocked at ChillChillCats Goodies & Craftroom in Leeds Corn Exchange. My sessions are calm, supportive, and pressure-free, with plenty of creative freedom and encouragement along the way.
Workshops are held at various venues across the region, and I also offer workshop delivery at your venue, ideal for team-building events, private groups, community organisations, schools, and special occasions.
