Hi, I’m Christine, the maker behind CEE/MAE Jewellery, based in East Sussex.I’ve always loved working with beads, charms and all the little details that make a piece of jewellery feel personal. What started as a creative outlet grew into a business, and along the way, I discovered that I love sharing the joy of making with other people just as much as I love creating myself.That’s what inspired me to start running jewellery-making workshops. I wanted to create a space where people could step away from their busy lives, get their hands busy, have a good chat and make something they’re genuinely excited to wear. There’s nothing quite like seeing someone go from “I’m not creative” to proudly showing off the piece they’ve made!My workshops are relaxed, beginner-friendly and all about enjoying the experience. You’ll have plenty of charms and components to choose from, and I’ll guide you through the process, including all the fiddly bits. No experience or artistic talent required, I promise!I run my business alongside a full-time 9–5, so I know how easy it is to put yourself at the bottom of the to-do list. My workshops are my way of creating a little breathing space for people to do something just for themselves. Come with a friend, bring your mum or sister, or come on your own. There’s room for everyone at the table.My favourite part is watching everyone make something completely different, even when they start with the same materials. Because the best part isn’t just leaving with a piece of jewellery, it’s the time spent making it.I can’t wait to create something with you!
