CANDLEbru

I'm Ebru, the founder, creative designer and maker behind CANDLEbru, a Leicester-based small business creating hand-poured natural candles with a focus on creativity, wellbeing and more sustainable choices. My creative journey also includes Bee Wise, my range of handmade, plastic-free beeswax food wraps, which grew from my interest in finding practical and reusable alternatives to everyday disposable products. That same appreciation for natural materials, sustainability and making things by hand is at the heart of CANDLEbru. My interest in candle making grew from my love of creating beautiful things by hand and experimenting with natural waxes, fragrances and different designs. What began as a creative passion gradually developed into CANDLEbru, and I now love sharing the experience of candle making with others through relaxed, hands-on workshops.Alongside running my creative businesses, I'm a qualified English language teacher with several years of experience teaching adults. Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy, and I love creating a friendly and supportive environment where people feel comfortable trying something new. You don't need any previous candle-making experience – I'll guide you through the process step by step while giving you plenty of freedom to personalise your own creation. For me, a candle-making workshop is about much more than making a candle. It's an opportunity to slow down, be creative, learn a new skill and enjoy time with other people. Whether you come with friends, family or colleagues, my aim is for you to leave with something you've made yourself and an experience you've genuinely enjoyed.
