  • 5/5 from Christine Macpherson, attended Sep 2026: I booked the Loyal Candles workshop through ClassBento as a birthday treat for my friend, and it was such a lovely experience. Adam was warm, approachable and incredibly patient, happily answering all my questions! His passion for his craft really comes through, as does his desire to make sure everyone feels comfortable, engaged and able to follow along. The workshop had a wonderfully relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The class was small enough to feel personal, while the spacious and beautifully decorated room made it easy to chat and get to know others. We especially enjoyed exploring the different fragrances and personalising our candles, as well as making wax melts to take home. It was great fun learning something new together, and as this was the first workshop my friend and I had ever done together, it made for a particularly memorable birthday treat. A small take-home guide with the basic process, ingredients and a few candle-making tips would be a lovely addition, but that's a very minor suggestion. This was genuinely an enjoyable, creative and relaxed experience that I’d happily recommend. Thank you for a memorable experience!
  • 5/5 from Suzie Nyman, attended Sep 2026: My visit to Loyal Candles unfolded like a quiet revelation. From the moment we stepped inside, the soft music and Adam’s warm welcome created a sense of calm that embraced every one of us - even our 91‑year‑old mother, who was instantly at ease. What surprised me most was how the fragrance oils unlocked memories I didn’t realise were waiting to be revisited. Oud and Black Rose carried me back to conversations with my Turkish friend, laughing and sharing stories over pieces of sweet Turkish delight, and sun‑washed days in the Maldives, while Winter Pine transported me to the crisp air of forest walks and the gentle magic of Christmastime. It was astonishing how scent could become a bridge between past and present. Adam guided us through the candle‑making process with a quiet confidence that made the learning experience feel effortless. His teaching style was both calming and precise, turning the afternoon into something far richer than a simple workshop. It became an experience - one wrapped in nostalgia, creativity, and shared connection. A truly unforgettable afternoon that will be rekindled every time the candle is lit and its fragrance fills the room.
  • 5/5 from Elaine Nyman, attended Sep 2026: Just brilliant on every way thank you Adam a real experience I came along with my elderly mam with mild cognitive impairment and our teacher was so kind and gentle he gave her time to understand all the instructions and join in I definitely shall be coming back when I’m in Essex again many thanks
  • 5/5 from Claire Palmer, attended May 2026: Adam was a delightful, easy and knowledgeable host with the most. He was warm and generous when we had a bit of a challenge arriving at the class and were swiftly folded in to the group. He was very solicitous of my mum in law, and ensured her Prosecco was topped up as it was her birthday. The candle making process was well explained and the fragrances are delicious - something for everyone. Can thoroughly recommend this as a smashing way to learn some new skills and go home with great gifts for yourself or someone else in your life. We 3 all loved this experience
