  £12 - £18 (£12 for Child 10-17 years; £18 for Adult)

Join me for a fun, creative workshop using my collection of pre-loved buttons to make 15–20 flowers for you to take home and enjoy. I’ll begin by sharing tips on choosing colours that work well together—though you’re welcome to follow your own style—then demonstrate how to make the flowers before you create your own. Reusing buttons is a sustainable way to craft, giving new life to materials that might otherwise be thrown away.
This workshop is suitable for those who are new to crafting (no previous experience is required). It is also suitable for accompanied children aged 10 and up.
Please be aware that I teach this class in my home and do have an excitable chocolate Labrador dog who will want to say hello to you when you arrive (and then crash out on the sofa soon after). If you are allergic to dogs or not a fan, please consider carefully before booking this course.
Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the session; if that happens, we'll inform you and let you choose between a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.
What you'll get
Enough buttons (40) to make 20 button flowers and wire for the stems. Refreshments are also be provided.
Knowledge required
No previous knowledge of crafting or skills is required.
What to bring
Nothing—all the materials needed to make your flowers are provided.

Hello, my name is Sandra. I learned to knit when I was seven and still remember standing in the school playground with knitting needles in my hands and a ball of wool in my pocket. I discovered crochet at twelve, starting with a granny square blanket.
Later, I became interested in visible mending and added the Japanese technique of Sashiko to my darning skills, allowing me to repair a wide range of worn and holey textiles.
I love teaching and sharing my creative skills. Seeing students’ enjoyment when they learn something new is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Whenever possible, I use pre-loved materials in both my own work and my classes. My darning and embroidery threads, buttons, knitting needles and some of my yarns are second-hand, which helps me reduce waste, live more sustainably and keep costs down.
I teach crochet, darning and knitting in small classes of up to five people. I also offer one-to-one tuition at £25 for the first hour and £15 for each additional hour in the same session.
