Tutor-Led Sewing Project Support Class

A practical supportive sewing workshop in London.

2 hours Class size 1 to 2 guests       £79 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Bring your own sewing project and get practical tutor guidance on how to move it forward. This sewing session in London is for students who can already use a sewing machine and want help with a commercial pattern, fabric choice, cutting, construction order, seam finishes, or an unfinished garment.
You can bring a pattern you want to start, fabric you are unsure how to cut, or a project that has reached a confusing stage. We can help you understand the instructions and check what extra materials you may need, such as interfacing, lining, zips, elastic, or buttons, and guide you through the next sewing steps.
This is not a learn-to-sew class, and it is not a pattern drafting session. It is designed for improvers who want support while working on their own sewing project, with access to studio machines, tools, and tutor advice.
What you'll get
Tutor-led support with their own sewing project, including help with:
  • Pattern instructions
  • Cutting
  • Construction steps
  • Fabric choices
  • Seam finishes
  • Any extra materials needed before or during sewing
  • Students will use studio sewing machines and basic tools and leave with a clearer plan for how to continue their project.
Knowledge required
This class is designed for students who can already thread and use a sewing machine independently.
What to bring
  • Please bring your own pattern, fabric, thread, and any notions you already have for your project.
  • If you are unsure what to buy, you can bring the pattern, and we will help you work out what fabric, interfacing, closures, lining, or other materials you need before you start.

Ksenia Semirova is a textile artist, embroidery designer, and educator working with hand embroidery for fashion and art.
She first came to embroidery through her own creative practice and later developed it professionally through an MA in Textiles at the University of Brighton. Her work brings together a range of techniques, including Lunéville and tambour embroidery, goldwork, pearl embroidery, textile manipulation, and surface embellishment.
Ksenia teaches embroidery as a real hand skill, not as a quick craft activity. Her workshops are practical, focused, and technique-led. Her private tuition sessions are for people who want direct guidance and proper time with the technique — from complete beginners to fashion students and creatives who want to use embroidery in their own projects.
