After working together teaching natural textiles to young people not in education, Vicky and Lorna fell in love with the world of natural dyeing. They have since continued their teaching; through mobile workshops across the Milton Keynes and Northampton areas, offering creative, hands-on sessions for schools, community groups and corporate settings.
About Vicky
Vicky has been working with young people for over 20 years, first as a geography teacher and more recently in alternative education. She has a passion for the outdoors and grows flowers for drying and natural dyeing. Foraging with her Greek rescue dogs, Dimi and Lola, is one of her favourite pastimes, and she often explores the fields around Hanslope with her three children.
About Lorna
With a BA in Embroidered Textiles and an MA in Fashion, Lorna has always been passionate about making. She enjoys embroidery, dressmaking, textile art and natural dyeing, often experimenting with plants, food waste and seasonal finds to create colour and texture. When she isn’t making, she can often be found running, practising Pilates, or exploring the outdoors with her family. A love of craft, nature and mindful making are at the heart of everything she does, and she enjoys encouraging others to slow down, try new skills and discover the joy of creating.
