This class is designed for beginners.
Join me for an in depth throwing session. You will have my undivided attention throughout the class, and we will go through each step in detail, teaching you the fundamental principles of throwing at the wheel.
Available as a one to one or two to one session if you’d like to bring a friend. Please note that two to one sessions are on a single wheel, so you will take it in turns to throw. I find this to be a great way to learn if you’re new to throwing and especially if you feel a bit nervous.
Two hour session for two, or ninety minutes for one in my Stockport studio. Choose one pot each to be trimmed and fired.
Please note: Two-to-one sessions take place on a single wheel, with students taking turns to throw. This class takes place in a shared studio space. Other members of the studio may be present during your session.
What you'll get
One pot each to be trimmed and fired.
What to bring
Clothes you don't mind getting dirty or a change of clothes. I recommend wrapping up in layers during the winter months as the studio can be chilly

I've been a ceramicist for six years, running my own studio as well as teaching large classes in community studios.
When I first started on my pottery journey, I was frustrated by the lack of hands on learning resources out there. My only options seemed to be in crowded group classes, where I wasn’t able to get the one on one attention I needed to improve. As a result, I taught myself, throwing everything I could into building my own studio and learning as much as possible.
I’ve learnt a lot since those early days, and now after many years in the craft, I’d like to share my experience with you.
We never stop learning, so if you’re relatively new to pottery or have been throwing for years, I can’t wait to welcome you to my studio.
