This one-day workshop will introduce you to the basics of cutting, using the printing press, and hand printing methods. You'll have the opportunity to create your own unique prints to take home.
If you're new to print making, there's no need to worry - our class is designed for beginners. You'll be guided step-by-step through the process, ensuring fun and stress-free learning experience.
Throughout the workshop, you'll work with Caligo Safe Wash Relief Printing inks, a non-toxic oil-based ink that can be easily cleaned with vegetable oil and warm soapy water. All materials and tools will be provided, so you can simply focus on unleashing your creativity.
By the end of the class, you will feel a sense of accomplishment as you admire the prints you have created. Take home not only your newfound skills but also your own collection of beautiful prints to display proudly.

  • Additional Lino and brand-new tools will be available to buy from the tutor for those wishing to continue Lino Printing at home.
  • Ideas of what you would like to try to turn into a lino print are welcome, but not essential as Kerry will provide inspiration images.

The Bristol Folk House is an adult education centre providing a variety of part-time day and evening courses and workshops for over 18's. The Folk House provides a welcoming environment in which to explore your creativity and learn new skills.
We provide courses and workshops that engage the local community. The cafe provides fantastic organic food and a space to get together before and after classes. It is also open to the public and is the perfect place for those seeking a relaxed and friendly place in Bristol city centre. Live music and festivals happen throughout the year, as well as markets, events and exhibitions.
The Bristol Folk House is part of a charity and we receive no funding from the government, the city council or any other institution and our income is wholly derived from course fees, venue hire, members and fundraising events.
The centre began in the 1870's with the aim of supporting access to education in the community. The first programme of activities was produced for the academic year in 1920-1921.
