Bead Tassels and Bead Weaving Workshop / Yorkshire

Discover two stringing/beading techniques that can be incorporated into a wide range of future designs.This intensive one-day workshop is divided into two half-day classes, with an hour lunch break in between to digest all the learned skills and new knowledge.Perfect for students who have previously attended pearl stringing workshops or anyone looking to expand their jewellery-making skill set.Morning Session: Bead Tassels - 9:30am-1pmLearn a variety of professional tassel-making techniques and finishing methods that can be applied to necklaces, pendants, and decorative jewellery pieces.During this workshop you will:

• Learn 2 techniques for attaching tassels to a silver cupped pendant bail
• Learn 3 different tassel finishing techniques
• Explore a classic pearl stringing technique not covered in our usual Beginners or Comprehensive Pearl Stringing workshops
• Gain the confidence to incorporate tassels into your own jewellery designs

Materials Included:

• 1 silver cupped pendant bail
• 16" strand of 2.5mm round beads
• All tools and workshop materials
• Afternoon Session: Bead Weaving - 2pm-5pm

(One specific technique that creates pieces as shown in images)Discover a beautiful three-dimensional bead weaving technique that can be adapted into bracelets, necklaces, and other decorative jewellery projects.During this workshop you will:

• Learn how to create a 3D woven beaded piece (tube-like)
• Attach your woven piece to a silver or vermeil cupped clasp
• Explore colour combinations and pattern variations
• Gain techniques that can be adapted for future projects

Materials Included:

• Variety of 3mm semi-precious gemstone beads (approximately 16" per student)
• 1 silver or vermeil cupped clasp
• 50cm coloured rattail cord (inner cord)
• Pattern illustration to keep for future reference
• All tools and workshop materials

• All materials and tools are provided
• Focus on learning professional techniques rather than completing a finished piece
• There is complimentary coffee, tea, and water available throughout the day.
• Coming by car: NCP car park approximately a five-minute walk
• Coming by train: 5-8 min walk from York train station.
