What you'll do
Unleash your creative side and learn how to draw sacred geometric shapes on the picturesque Polzeath Beach at this fun art workshop!
Led by experienced teacher Bill, you'll explore the world of beach art as you learn about tools, techniques, positioning and the golden ratio to build up stunning designs from a collection of circles.
You can choose what you create, from yin-yang symbols and flower patterns to eye-catching geometric shapes in different textures and styles. It's a brilliant chance to get some fresh air with friends, family or like-minded others as you draw a masterpiece on a renewable canvas.
At the end of your beach drawing class, you'll take photos of your eco-friendly artwork and reflect on your meditative experience as a group before heading home with your new skills!
Please note:
- If the booking day you want is closed, please request a session and your teacher will do his best to open one for you even at short notice.
- Tides and weather may mean your teacher needs to adjust meeting times so it's important to contact me first.
Knowledge required
Beginner friendly! However even professional artists will find this session interesting.

Beaches make great renewable art canvases! I'm an experienced beach art teacher who likes to help everyone unlock their hidden talents and have fun doing it. We're all learning, and I'm learning too... about repeating patterns, sacred geometry, mandalas and how to create amazing shapes in the sand!
I'm in my 60s and for much of that time have been a teacher, headmaster, housemaster in international schools around the world: Australia, Kenya, Thailand, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Morocco, and in the UK, Sussex, Yorkshire, Somerset, Cornwall and Cardiff.
I'm particularly good at nothing in particular and have a very relaxed style of teaching. I look forward to meeting you!
