  • 5/5 from Migena Dashi, attended Jan 2026: Both 5 yo and 9 yo loved it!
  • 5/5 from Par Leenutaphong, attended Aug 2025: Michael is an excellent teacher; he is very patient, friendly and engaging with the children. My 4 year old now knows how to do Stop Motion. Thank you so much. Highly recommended ️️️️️
  • 5/5 from Jackie Carr, attended Jun 2025: My six year has been attended MK Art Club regularly and thoroughly enjoys the classes. Each session has been very varied and interactive. There have been colouring skills, poster, greeting card and t-shirt designing and animation workshops. Michael adapts the classes for different ages and abilities and builds a rapport with each child. He is very good at encouraging the children to participate even when they are feeling shy and reserved. As a parent I also enjoy coming to the sessions and seeing the children getting creative.
  • 5/5 from Katryna Down, attended Jun 2025: Great Class My son loves arts and crafts and I don’t always know how to develop it further. We did the poster session. My son is nearly 5. His poster had a robot for him to colour in, but the background needed to be traced adding in clouds and trees to the scene. Then there was further space to add in their own free hand detail before colouring it in. Then all the children worked together on a communal big poster and it was brilliant how each child could contribute to the final image.
  • 5/5 from Andreea Dirman, attended Jun 2025: Amazing class! Thank you for everything! The teacher was really careful and encouraging the kids with the artwork
  • 5/5 from Juliana Garcia, attended Jun 2025: Very good experience, my daughter enjoy very much and have fun. The place was lovely and very organised.
  • 5/5 from Ronald Kamya, attended Jun 2025: Wonderful engaging workshops. Highly recommend as they are a joy for little ones and grown-ups watching on the sidelines.
  • 5/5 from Chun Kit, attended May 2025: Brilliant Stop Motion Workshop for Little Ones! My daughter (just 3 and half years old) recently joined this stop animation workshop and we absolutely loved it! The teacher, Michael, was fantastic – incredibly patient, kind, and really great with young children. Even though my daughter is a bit young to follow all the instructions and tends to get a little distracted, Michael made sure she was included and gently guided her throughout. The workshop itself was fun, hands-on, and a brilliant way to introduce the basics of animation to little ones. It was lovely to see how they learned that animations are made from lots of still images – such a clever way to plant the seed of creativity! There were plenty of interactive activities, including making their own figures for the animation. We even worked together to create a group stop-motion film at the end, which was a lovely way to wrap things up. A really joyful and creative experience – highly recommended for young children and parents alike!
  • 5/5 from Steven Sylvester, attended May 2025: Fantastic fun and super skills, Michael is very engaging, thanks, see you at the next session.

Founder/ Tutor Profile
My name is Michael, and I’ve been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. According to multiple family sources, I began drawing on paper, walls, tables and just about any surface I could find from a very young age.
I attended Marriotts High School in Stevenage before following my passion for art at Coventry University, where I studied illustration and animation, graduating with a First Class Degree.
After studying illustration and animation at Coventry University, I launched MKcaricatures in 2015, specialising in live event drawing. Over time, I expanded the business to include my now Award-Winning Wedding Stationery service, commercial illustration, and personalised gifts.
I also gained valuable tutoring experience at North Hertfordshire College and Coventry University, which inspired me to begin offering creative workshops for children, schools, and businesses.
I’ve led creative team-building workshops for Microsoft and delivered drawing sessions for students at the prestigious Oxford University.
In 2025, I launched Milton Keynes Art Club in partnership with Best Western Moore Place Hotel.
