Recent reviews of Amigurumi Woodland Acorn Crochet Two Week Course

  • 5/5 from Yvonne, attended Oct 2026: I absolutely loved making “Arthur” Acorn! It was an easy process making most of the pieces and the pattern was explained well by Chrissie. Found the leaf more challenging as I kept missing stitches in the second half of round 2 to begin with but I managed to figure it out in the end as I understood the pattern from crochet club and I just worked to my pace and redid it until I got it right. Technical issues were dealt with well and I would recommend this workshop.
  • 5/5 from Sabrina Hassan, attended Oct 2026: Great workshop with easy to follow instructions. The yarn provided is so soft and lovely to work with and the little extras provided are so useful.
  • 5/5 from Victoria, attended Oct 2026: Absolutely fantastic. I felt totally supported throughout. Friendly, no rush and just a great course. I had avoided amigurumi as I did not feel confident. This has opened up so many more projects for me. I’m looking forward to booking my next.
  • 5/5 from Wendy Dunsmore, attended Sep 2026: As long as you have some basic crochet skills this is a great way to try working with plushie yarn. But it does go fast if you aren’t familiar with some of the stitches.
  • 5/5 from Jo Canham, attended Sep 2026: I absolutely loved this class. The website made clear it was for people who were used to crocheting but suitable for those who could be new to amigurumi. The pace was perfect to be able to crochet along so by the end I had a finished product that I am proud of. Will definitely look out on the website for more.
  • 5/5 from Kay Lornie, attended Sep 2026: Great workshop with an excellent tutor and a good kit full of items to work with.
  • 5/5 from Anna Barwick, attended Sep 2026: Gina is so lovely, and she expertly guided us through making our acorn with lots of help and tips - she is very knowledgeable and always happy to share advice. It has been a great two weeks and I can recommend this workshop to anyone.
  • 5/5 from Lynda Broad, attended Oct 2025: A lovely way to spend a couple of hours on a wet Saturday. Very clear instructions on the pattern and during the session. Loads of helpful little tips from Gina. A really cute Toadstool at the end too!
  • 5/5 from Julia Tognarelli, attended Oct 2025: Loved it! Engaging host Excellent tips and skill developing Definitely need more fun little classes like this
  • 5/5 from Jas Beavis, attended Oct 2025: A great lesson, easy to follow and learned a lot of the different crochet techniques.
  • 5/5 from Yvonne, attended Oct 2025: I enjoyed learning how to make the hedgehog and everything was clearly demonstrated again by Gina. Many thanks for an enjoyable afternoon.
  • 5/5 from Cristina Giordano, attended Oct 2025: The little Hedgehog is super cute and thanks to the tutorial also simple to make. Gina is really good, in fact one of my two favourite artisans for her teaching is very easy to follow and she's always very clear when explaining. The allocated time was suitable and allowed me to follow step by step, without running behind (usually these tutorials would benefit from additional time). Totally reccomanded for it doesn't take long to see a finished product and make a cute autumn deko.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Oct 2025: This was an enjoyable class that went at a nice relaxed paced. Happy to have the recording to go back and try again. Thank you
  • 4/5 from Paula Fowler, attended Oct 2025: The class was very fast to finish the rows leaving me behind. I didn’t have the vote buttons on my ancient iPad so I just left the stream running and I’m hoping that the pre-recorded video will help so that I can stop and start that as I am working through the instructions.
  • 5/5 from Ruchika Juneja, attended Sep 2025: I attended Amigurumi Pumpkin class today with instructor Gina. She explained all the steps clearly and the pace was very good to follow as a beginner. Instructions were sent before the class which helped me follow it with the class. I printed the sheet before the class and kept marking the rows along with the class. Towards the end it was a bit of rush to finish the stem but follow up video helped me to finish the pumpkin. I wish these classes are 2 hours long so we can learn more and ask questions. I love this pattern and going to make more of these pumpkins.
  • 5/5 from Sarah, attended Sep 2025: Chrissie was a great host as always, wouldn't hesitate to recommend her classes as she's very good at breaking down stitches and answering any questions
  • 5/5 from Yvonne, attended Sep 2025: Once again Gina demonstrated everything clearly and the class was easy to follow. I enjoyed making the pumpkin and the pace was great. The stem was fiddly but the follow up video helped me to finish off the pumpkin in my own time. It was helpful to have the pattern sent before the class this time for reference and note making as we went along so thank you.
  • 5/5 from Sarah Atkinson, attended Sep 2025: Another great class with Gina. She explained the pattern very clearly and was very patient, always checking we were ready to move on. Loved the pattern to make this cute little pumpkin!
  • 5/5 from Ruchika Juneja, attended Sep 2025: This amigurumi class was amazing. It was my first time trying to do a amigurumi pattern, I have done granny square and flowers, and I know some basic stitches. The instructions were clear and the instructor was very patient and answered all our questions patiently. I would recommend these classes to anyone who would like to learn crochet.
  • 5/5 from Linda Barker, attended Sep 2025: Very enjoyable class, personally I learned lots of new techniques. Nice, friendly instructor, making it extremely helpful to learn new techniques. Good quality materials. I was very happy with my little mushroom as it was the first time I had ever made a crocheted soft figure. Would 100% recommend.
  • 5/5 from Jodie Balaam, attended Sep 2025: It was fun and easy to understand and the recap video at the end is brilliant
  • 5/5 from Lynda Broad, attended Sep 2025: Brilliant workshop with loads of helpful tips along the way. Looking forward to completing my pumpkin.
  • 5/5 from Kathleen, attended Sep 2025: Really enjoyed this. Chrissie is a great teacher. I’ve done this pumpkin as a test piece but will do some more with faces. And different colours and sizes.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Sep 2025: I really enjoyed this class. Everything was demonstrated clearly and at a good pace. Love having the recording as a refresher too
  • 5/5 from Yvonne, attended Sep 2025: I thoroughly enjoyed this class with Gina who couldn’t do enough for us. She went at a good pace and regularly checked that everyone was keeping up and was very patient when participants asked questions. The kit was excellent and has the resources to make all of the three characters. The toadstool does take longer than 1.5 hours but Gina ensured we had everything done before ending the class. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon.
  • 5/5 from Yvonne Warner, attended Sep 2025: Really enjoyed this workshop, felt I learned a lot and it’s given me confidence to make other ‘creatures’. Gina was brilliant, very patient and talked us through each step. Highly recommended.
  • 5/5 from Katrina Toffel, attended Sep 2025: Lovely host Loved the course But should of been 2 hours no fault of host but too quick to get it all done
  • 3/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Sep 2025: It was good but on some parts I didn’t understand and she never told me how to do it
