Enjoy a creative and memorable activity with your child at this printmaking class.
There's no need for any prior experience, as you'll both learn the art of block printing step-by-step together. This unique workshop is a wonderful way to bond and make something special during the school holidays. You and your little one will get to experiment with beautiful wooden printing blocks, first practising on scrap fabric until you feel confident. Then, it's time to get creative with printing a tote bag using an array of blocks and vibrant fabric paints.
In this fun, two-hour session, you will:
  • learn how to use wooden printing blocks
  • create a unique tote bag, a drawstring bag, and a greeting card
  • discover the magic of colourful fabric paints
  • spend quality time making something together
You'll be guided by a supportive instructor throughout, so there's no need to feel nervous. By the end of the workshop, you and your child will leave with a brilliant new skill, a beautiful collection of hand-printed pieces, and the cherished memory of a shared creative experience.
Every session we will be using different designs of wooden printing blocks:
  • Thursday, 19th February 2026: shapes and geometry (hearts, mandalas, swirls)
  • Thursday, 9th April 2026: spring flowers and insects
  • Tuesday, 26th May 2026: woodland creatures
  • Sunday, 26th July 2026: birds and animals
  • Thursday, 20th August 2026: trees and leaves
  • Thursday, 29th October 2026: Halloween themed
  • Sunday, 29th November 2026: Christmas themed
What you'll get
  • All materials are provided, including disposable aprons.
  • You will each create a tote bag, a drawstring bag, and a greeting card.

What type of paint are we using?
We will be using fabric paint, and recommend you wear clothing you don't mind getting messy in. Definitely avoid wearing anything with long floaty sleeves.

Hi - I'm Karen - a neurosparkly chronic illness warrior living in Wiltshire with my husband Chris & our rescue cat Shadow.
Due to declining health from years of stress & fibromyalgia, I had to leave work in 2016. The corporate world broke me....
I found solace in creativity, and discovered the deeply absorbing practices of both Dot Mandalas and Block Printing had a significant positive impact on my mental health. At that point I realised that I wanted to share this inner peace with others.
So 'Dots & Blocks' was founded in 2017 - I combine my passion for sharing positivity through creativity with my skills as a former corporate trainer. Hosting absorbing and empowering creative workshops across Wiltshire and beyond.
During lock down I adapted my offerings to include Creativity Kits featuring video tutorials. Thus, enabling others to benefit from the mental health benefits of creativity at a time when they were needed most.
I strive to make creativity more affordable and accessible to all - offering you a choice of in person creative workshops or learn from home options. Plus I offer private bookings to those living within a 1 hour drive of SP4 8BW.
The fully inclusive kits contain materials carefully selected to be accessible to all ages, abilities and neurotypes. Plus I cater for different learning styles by offering full step-by-step written instructions and optional access to a FREE video tutorial.
