2 cups
2- 3 table decorations/ dipping bowls etc
This is made for anyone with some pottery experience or those up for a little challenge! You will learn how to build a beautiful, ceramic dinner set from start to finish. Right from compressing and cutting out your forms, to decorating and personalising you creations.
Week 1 (7th January) @6pm - 8pm: For the first class you will be creating 2 plates from start to finish. You will create and design the shape and begin creating them, adding all the personal touches you need!
Week 2 (14th January) @6pm - 8pm: During the second class you will create 2 tumblers in any style you wish. For this class you will learn how to create sturdy joints and get stuck in to slab building.
Week 3 (21st January) @6pm - 8pm: For the third class you will create 2 gorgeous bowls using the coiling technique.
Week 4 (28th January) @6pm - 8pm: To finish the dinner set you will make up to 3 table decorations (eg. candle stick holders) using any of the techniques learnt in the previous classes.
Week 5 (11th February) @6pm - 8pm: Finally for week 5 you will be glazing your pieces and adding final personal design touches with a splash of colour!
If more time is needed for glazing/ painting students may come back for one Tuesday open session to complete their pieces.

Hello! I'm Jess from Jess Made This Mess and I offer a wide variety of ceramic workshops at Wild Clay Studios! My workshops are intended to be a safe and creative space that encourage people to try something new using hand building techniques such as slab building, coiling and pinching. I aim to make pottery accessible to everyone and anyone that wants to give it a go! You don't need all the bells and whistles to make a gorgeous pot, and thats the brilliant thing about pottery.
