3 Hour Introduction to Glass Fusing Class

Join this glass art workshop in Chalfont St Peter and discover the vibrant joy of working with fused glass. Held at the inspiring Fired Works gallery, this hands-on experience is completely made for beginners, so there's no need to worry if you've never tried it before. You'll start with a friendly, low-pressure introduction to the different types of glass and how firing schedules create various eye-catching effects – without being bombarded by dry, technical jargon. Marie will be right by your side to guide you every step of the way, helping you feel completely at ease as you play with colour and light.You'll have access to a wonderful selection of materials, including colourful sheet glass, pre-fused cabochons, and frit, which is beautifully crushed glass in various sizes. During this relaxing two to three-hour session, you'll create two small sun catchers (or a coaster if you prefer), plus you'll choose one of the following special projects to craft:

• A set of four coasters
• A free-standing curve – which can also be kept flat if you prefer
• A small chrome lantern – available for an additional £8 charge payable on the day
• A 15cm shallow slumped dish

It's a wonderful, feel-good opportunity to switch off from the daily grind, try something new, and enjoy some wholesome fun – you're even welcome to bring along your favourite wine to sip while you create. By the end of the class, you'll have experienced an uplifting boost to your creative confidence and designed beautiful, one-of-a-kind keepsakes that will add a bright spark to your home. Your finished masterpieces will be professionally fired in the kiln and ready for you to collect in about a week.Please note:

• A minimum of three attendees is required for the class to run.
• Free parking is available outside after 5pm Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday. At other times, Church Lane Car Park is about a five-minute walk away.
• One week's notice is required for cancellations, or full payment is required. Workshops must be paid in full in advance to secure your space.

• All materials and tools are provided.
• Tea, coffee, and water are provided.
