3 Day Intensive Jewellery Making Course

Join this three-day jewellery course for a perfect fast-track introduction to silversmithing. This is our most intensive beginners' workshop yet, offering three creative and productive days in our fully equipped studio where you will learn a variety of skills. This activity is designed to immerse you in the craft, and you'll take home multiple pieces of finished jewellery at the end of each day.Once you have reserved your place in this workshop, we will send a short questionnaire to better understand what you hope to achieve in terms of skills and style.Here is a look at what you will learn:

• Day 1: Introduction to Silversmithing – On your first day, we will introduce you to the essentials of the craft by making a sterling silver ring. You can stamp, pattern, texture, or even add a stone to your very first piece. We will then move on to making another ring or two from your own design.
• Day 2: Piercing and Fabrication – We’ll begin the day by introducing you to the jeweller’s saw, a crucial tool for hand-sawing shapes and intricate designs into metal. You will spend half the day getting to know this technique and creating different elements in silver, copper, and brass. In the afternoon, you will piece them together to create beautiful, unique jewellery.
• Day 3: Stone Setting – Your final day is all about stone setting and exploring more advanced techniques. We will help you create a beautiful piece of jewellery featuring a bezel setting to hold a cabochon stone of your choice. You will learn how to hand-fabricate the entire setting yourself.
